The Best Way to Keep Your Clients Happy with Your Cleaning Service
Have you ever asked yourself what the secret is to keeping customers happy?
The answer is short, sweet, and simple.
Happy employees equal happy customers.
No! I’m not twisting your arm, that really is the secret formula!
This phrase has become quite the business bumper sticker for countless companies.
Why? Many of us have realised that without happy employees, it can be difficult to have happy customers (don’t worry, we’ll get into this more below).
At In-Tec, we believe in this philosophy and its importance. Without a happy cleaner, the service that is delivered to you won’t be up to par which, in turn, means you won’t be happy with the outcome.
In this article, we’ll dive deep into this topic and go through what happy employees = happy clients means, how it relates to cleaning, and how it benefits you.
Let’s get into it.
What do we mean by happy employees = happy clients?
We all know that clients will come and go. They will leave you the moment they feel like your service is no longer needed or is no longer providing results.
And one of the possible reasons for this is an unhappy employee.
We have all been there at some point in our lives – working a job that simply drained your drive. Maybe it was due to a bad work environment, maybe you didn’t get enough tools or training to do your job (hint: remember this for further down), or perhaps you weren’t being appreciated.
An unhappy and unengaged employee won’t provide as much effort to helping your clients as a happy employee would.
“If you treat your staff well, they will be happy.”
Happy staff are proud staff, and proud staff deliver excellent service to their clients, which drives business success.
That’s it!
How do happy cleaners benefit you?
In my 28 years of experience in the commercial cleaning industry, I’ve learnt one big thing.
If my cleaners are happy and set up properly, I will have happy clients.
If I have a happy team that have everything they need to go out there into the big bad world to clean your site, you’ll be one happy client.
But what do we mean by ‘everything?’ What does a cleaner need to be happy?
Great question! Let’s answer it.
In order for us to provide you with the best service, you need to have a happy cleaner and this is achieved by giving them the 3 T’s (tools, training, and time), and assigning them to a site that they’ll fit in with.
Let me delve a little deeper into this. You want to employ the right cleaner for the right site. This can depend on their personality and how it’ll fit with yours, what type of experience they have, and their comfortability.
After all, would you want to work somewhere where you don’t fit in?
At In-Tec, we train our cleaners, give them the appropriate tools (e.g. i-mop, microfibre cloths, battery-pack vacuums), and enough time to get the job done properly. If you remove one of these from the equation, the cleaner would be unhappy with their job and the quality they’re delivering to you.
Let’s take a look at this in a different way.
An office worker needs the right tools e.g. laptop, phone, website applications, and support to get the job done properly.
Even a professional athlete needs the right support, a proper coach for training, and certain tools to perform as best they can.
We all need things that help us do our jobs properly.
Can you see where I’m going with this?
Your cleaners are the EXACT same. They need to be trained and given the correct tools with one goal in mind, deliver the service to you. Just like us, they want to feel a sense of accomplishment doing their job and making you happy.
You want a cleaning company that has happy staff and will deliver the service you expect and want with no hassles.
So, what would a happy client, like you look like?
- A happy client is a person who is getting what was promised to them, with a little extra on the side
- It is a customer who is completely satisfied with the cleaning services and will prefer the company they’re with even though they’re a little more expensive
- A happy client completely trusts the cleaning company they’re with. And it shows
The key to happy clients
So is there really any correlation between a happy cleaner and a happy client? Does one influence the other?
Yes, yes, and yes!
Both are equally important and work hand in hand with one another. Without a happy cleaner, a client won’t be happy.
See? Happy cleaner does mean happy client.
We want you to walk into a clean and tidy office, an office that is productive and happy. And this all starts with happy cleaners.
You are important to us and are our number one priority – we do what we do because of you.
